Punters had another fill up as Black Caviar won her 15th consecutive race with some monstrous bets taken at Sportingbet Australia.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said punters had backed the star filly heavily early in the week at $1.08 and at the $1.05 on Saturday.
“We took a bet of $900,000 at $1.05 on top of bets of $200,000 at $1.08, $200,000 at $1.05 and $100,000 at $1.08,” Sullivan.
“Punters came again at MaxiDiv on the day with bets of $100,000 and $80,000 which we paid at the $1.05 despite the SP being $1.03 and totes paying $1.00 to $1.04.
“We held nearly $3m on her and she has been a bad result fifteen times in a row for us now.”
